| Over a span of thirty years, "Chicago" Carl Snyder worked with more than
sixty of the Windy City's
blues artists, most extensively with Junior Wells, Otis Rush, Son Seals and
Jimmy Johnson. He played
on two albums that won the Handy Award, two more that were nominated for
Grammies, and appeared in a film, "Blues Highway," that was nominated for an Academy Award.
At one time he was
also the pianist at Chicago's famed Second City Theater. He has performed in
over 40 states and
eleven foreign countries. Since moving to Pennsylvania in 1996 he has
continued to play blues, jazz
and cocktail music in a variety of settings while operating his own record
label, Lost World Music, and
hosting radio shows on college and public stations. |
